The Parse Biosciences Whole Transcriptome Kit maintains low doublet rates for both single cell and nuclei preparations.
Doublet rates are low, less than 3% even for 100,000 cells. These are calculated through a species mix experiment where human and mouse cell lines are mixed in equal proportions, fixed, and run through the Whole Transcriptome workflow. The results are shown below, where cells are plotted with human unique transcripts detected on the x axis and mouse unique transcripts on the y axis. Cells that contain both human and mouse transcripts are determined to be doublets (a mouse and a human cell stuck together).
